2. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) 

Robotic Process Automation is automation where a computer (robotic software) handles existing company software in the same way that a user does. In principle it mimics a person’s action in completing rule-based tasks across multiple tools, data sources and outputs without need for IT software or EDI development. Modern RPA platforms are capable of combining simple RPA with OCR and AI technologies in order to automate complex administrative processes end-to-end. RPA represents a sustainable operational platform also in situations with limited workforce due to sudden personnel unavailability (e.g. in crisis situations).
