Hypera was traditionally participated in Inter Airport Europe fair, which took place in Munich between 9th and 12th November 2021. Inter Airport Europe is the largest European fair for aviation and airport technologies, equipment, machines and vehicles.
It was great to be there after long time Covid restrictions and meet partners and aviation colleagues face to face, even with masks.
Except Opscom Systems and OCEM Airfield Technology, Hypera scheduled meetings with many other partners, such as Tern Systems Acams, Avinor, EFLA, BeCon Projects, ACS Advanced Cargo Handling Systems, WheelTug as well as Pardubice Airport and interesting North Energy Cluster for Zero Emission Regional Aviation.

Hypera traditionally participated in the greatest airport technology and technics‘ trade fair – Inter Airport Europe in Munich, as a partner of Opscom Systems, norwegian company supplying Safety Management Systems to airports and air operators in and outside of Europe.
Among other partner companies on the list to meet were Hypera´s longtime business partners, such as OCEM, Italian producer of (not only) LED lights and airfield technologies, Europoles with its fiberglass breakable masts for approach lighting, Transcon – the Czech producer of airfield lighting and others.
Hypera as a representative of the division HLS (Hypera Logistics Solutions) was also interested in companies dealing with logistics and cargo handling. One of them, Lödige, is a longtime partner delivering solutions for cargo terminals and warehouse spaces. Another companies to consult with were ALS – a producer of vertical parking halls and systems, or ACUN1S, a company handling logistics solutions for cargo transportation and terminals.
Hypera team consisting of Kamil Slavik and Lukas Matejka is participating again in Inter Airport Europe fair, taking place in Munich between 8th and 11th October 2019. Inter Airport Europe is the largest european fair with aviation and airport technologies, equipment, machines and vehicles.
Hypera will be present at Opscom Systems stand from 9th to 10th October. Opscom Systems, as a norwegian company developing Safety Management Systems and a winner of Inter Data Award from last years, is in a partnership with Hypera for a long time. This cooperation brought Opscom to the Czech and Slovakian market and is currently implemented at airports in both countries. Except these airports, Opscom is implemented at more than 70 airports mostly in Europe.
Except Opscom, Hypera's schedule of meetings includes many other partners, such as OCEM Airfield Technology, Lödige or Integra.

In March 2019, Hypera as a partner of Norwegian company Opscom Systems, which deals with Safety Management Systems, participated in a workshop on a new version of SMS Opscom 2.0, which brings several important improvements along with a new design.
One of the main innovations is the possibility of inserting a multi-layer map base of the airport and subsequent reporting using the GPS position in the mobile version of Opscom, thus controlling the case management and monitoring the concentration of occurrences of reports directly within the map. Another benefits are full-screen layout and new design, which is uniform for all devices and focused on user, who can easily organize items and menus within the system according to their priorities and requirements.
Opscom Systems is the winner of the Inter Data Award at Inter Airport Europe in Munich. Opscom is installed at more than 70 airports throughout Europe and also offers solutions for Air operators, MRO maintenance organizations, drone operators and heliports.
Hypera has been in cooperation with Opscom for seven years. During this time, SMS has been implemented at airports in Pardubice and Poprad, as well as at heliports in Rozvadov and Chodová Planá.
In January 2019, Hypera participated in Business delegation on occasion of visit of the Czech Prime Minister to Singapore, Thailand and India, organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic from 13th to 20th January 2019.
The main goal was to establish new contacts for aviation and applied logistics innovations projects.
Program consisted of Czech Republic – Singapore Business Forum 2019, Business Forum organized by the Federation of Thai Industry (FTI), Business Forum "Czech Republic – Prospective Technological Partner of India on the Path to Common Prosperity", Participation in Gujarat Global Summit in Ahmedabad as well as Opening of the Czech Republic Pavilion with presentation of Czech participating companies and Grand Opening of VW and Skoda Innovation Centre in Pune – India.
Many of new contacts and promises of future cooperation has been established on number of official negotiations as well as on B2B meetings with businessmen from all three visited countries.
23. 11. 2018, Hypera as a general supplier has successfully installed SALS – Simple Approach Lighting System to RWY 11 at Karlovy Vary International Airport. SALS has been completed up to 300 m in front of RWY 11 Threshold with expected extension up to 420 m in 2019.
SALS consists of 2 inset directional lights SLAP and 13 elevated approach lights FAU, installed on frangible approach lighting poles from Europoles. Besides a few lights in testing mode at Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague, this is the first extensive installation of OCEM lights in the Czech Republic.
Aviation Solutions division (HAS) has already been cooperating with OCEM Airfield Technology for few years. OCEM is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of modern airport technologies, focused especially on the LED lights and technologies, as well as other airport electrical devices.
Hypera Aviation Solutions newly offers aerial works (in cooperation with Blue Sky Service s.r.o.) with helicopters Bell 429 a Bell 407, fitted with highly experienced pilots, equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and Cargo Hook system with load capacity of 1,000 kg for carrying large and heavy objects.
Bell 429 is a twin-engine helicopter equipped with Garmin GTN 750 and is suitable also for aerial works in residential areas. Helicopters are ideal for transport of heavy loads to the tall buildings and remote areas.
HAS offers the aerial works in regions of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Austria.
Kamil Slavík, who is a member of the ECBL Board and a member of the ELA Awards, has traditionally taken part in the award announcement for the Best Project, Presentation and Personality, which took place in Brussels on 7th June.
Czech logistics was successful again - Škoda Auto Logistics has been on a podium with its SMART AKL 4.0 project.
Hypera has been cooperating with Škoda Auto since 2005 and we provided our expertises and support to many projects, especially in logistics. For example, we had been working on streamlining of the material flow, optimization of processes on container terminal as well as on procedures of packaging for CKD Centrum. Now we are involved in so called components supermarkets optimization for production line of Octavia, Rapid, Superb as well as in coordination of materials supply chain for new SUV models.

At the end of May 2018, in the UK took place an event called UK Airports Safety Week 2018, where Hypera was invited by Norwegian company Opscom Systems, a partner company dealing with SMS development and implementation. This event was attended by Lukáš Matějka, representing Hypera Aviation Solutions division. One of the main parts of schedule was a presentation of SMS Opscom Systems including the statistics and news of the system.
Within the program participants visited London Luton Airport, which is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe in terms of the number of passengers transported per year (currently around 16 million passengers per year) and therefore their SMS work is very important and inspiring, and then also Belfast City Airport and Birmingham Airport.
From 8th to 11th May, at EUROLOG International Conference in Marrakech, Morocco, Kamil Slavík in cooperation with Mr. Miroslav Mazal, Škoda Auto CKD Centre representative, presented current trends in automotive logistics. This important event, presented by ELA (European Logistics Association), took place out of continental Europe for the first time. Hypera Logistic Solutions division works on the development and introduction of new technologies in Škoda Auto factories and warehouses in Mlada Boleslav and Kvasiny, as well as on optimization of logistics processes and warehouses monitoring.
In the first third of 2018, Hypera completed a Study for implementation of VFR night and IFR operation at Přerov Airport (LKPO), which was conducted within the Hypera Aviation Solutions division. Hypera has invited two expert companies to the project - the GNSS Centre of Excellence with experts on modern GNSS technologies for approach procedures to airports (LPV Approach) and heliports (Point-in-Space Approach); and Techniserv CZ, dealing with the project drawing and technological equipment of the airport and the air traffic services sites.
The core of the Study was the feasibility analysis of the introduction of helicopter operation at LKPO, including the implementation of GNSS technologies for approach procedures, AFIS implementation and equipment of the airport for the IFR operation introduction.
At the end of February 2018, HAS team was successful in selling and installation of first LED lights by the Italian company OCEM on Czech market. These LITC lights (LED Inset Taxiway and Centreline light) have been bought by Prague Airports and installed on the airport's taxiways. At present, Hypera has 5 valid Type Certificates in the Czech Republic of OCEM products- TWCS, LITC, SLAP, PAPI and FAU.
From January 2018, the Opscom Safety Management System is implemented at another airport - Poprad – Tatry.
The kick - off meeting took place at the airport on 8th January 2018.
The system has been set up and brought into operation, along with the training of airport officials in the system and setting up the relevant modules. Poprad - Tatry airport is the first Slovak airport where this SMS was implemented. In the Czech Republic, the system has been in operation since 2013 at the airport of Pardubice.
The Norwegian company Opscom Systems won with this product the interDATA category for the most innovative safety management system at Inter Airport Europe in Munich and their SMS system is currently applied to 68 airports worldwide.
The last year 2017 was for Hypera Aviation Solutions successful, especially in terms of heliports. In August 2017, the HEMS heliport Rozvadov, which had to be relocated due to construction of a hotel at Casino Rozvadov, was approved and certified for VFR/night operation, thus fully equipped with PAPI and FATO lights. It is also equipped with a weather station, a remote control of the heliport lighting and a flashing beacon.
The second heliport, which has been equally equipped and completed in 2017, located in Chodova Plana, is the first private heliport certified for VFR/night operation in the Czech Republic.
Last year Hypera has also expanded its cooperation with Norwegian company Opscom Systems. Their Safety Management System (SMS) has been implemented and put into operation on both mentioned heliports.
The Inter Airport Europe Fair took place in Munich from 10th to 13th October. Our team consisting of Kamil Slavik and Lukas Matejka was also attended. Our representatives were guests at the stand of Norwegian company Opscom Systems, dealing with Safety Management Systems (SMS) for airports and air operators.
At the fair, we met representatives of many domestic and foreign companies such as: Prague Airport, OCEM, Techniserv, Transcon, Siemens, ACAMS, ACL, Mittarfeqarfiit, AGI, Lödige, Midstream Lighting, AMA S.p.A, Esterer and others. The fair was an excellent opportunity to build new contacts and revive existing ones as well as to familiarize with new trends and technologies in aviation.
Hypera Aviation Solutions participated in the India Aviation International Exhibition & Conference on Civil Aviation, which was held in Hyderabad, India, in March 2016. The event aimed to provide a platform for discussion of today’s challenges and opportunities in civil aviation. The industry met at a crucial junction - a time when the Indian Government is in the process of formulating it's National Aviation Strategy, and has been taking other steps to fuel the growth of this sector.
The Czech Republic was represented by official delegation and presented Czech aviation sector in joint stand, where Hypera and other eight companies presented their products and services.
Hypera Aviation Solutions’ took part in a number of fruitful meetings with local and federal transport and aviation authorities which served as a basis for establishing promising future partnerships. In particular, Hypera Aviation Solutions successfully raised great interest in its existing portfolio of services and activities as well as new services with respect to airport development, regional connectivity and the use of GNSS applications.
The final day of the event witnessed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding between Hypera and local partners. The MOUs cover cooperation of their parties in the areas of provision of technical and support services to aviation development and privatization of airports , including the enhancement of safety, efficiency, capacity of airports and airspace management and the implementation of modern technologies and procedures.
14th annual international scientific conference, organized by the Air Transport Department and the Air Training and Education Centre of University of Žilina in Žilina under patronage of European project named “VEGA 1/0838/13- THE BASIC RESEARCH OF CHARGES POLICY AT THE SPECIFIC MARKET OF AIRPORT SERVICES”, took place on 27th – 29th of January, 2016, in university resort Zuberec, approximately 80 kilometres from Žilina, Slovakia.
On behalf of Hypera, the conference was attended by its CEO Kamil Slavík. Hypera published an article “Advantages of Using Software Tools for Safety Management (SMS) in Aviation” in the official brochure of the conference and Mr. Slavik performed a presentation highlighting key points of this article during official program of the conference. The article describes advantages of software tools for creation and maintenance of controlled documentation, hazard identification, risk management and elimination, occurrence reporting and solution of operational events with potential impact to safety, as well as quality and safety audits from the perspective of small and medium companies involved in civil aviation (aerodromes and aircraft operators, in particular). Using example of specific product line of modules offered by Opscom Systems, the objective of this article is to disprove arguments frequently used by representatives of small and medium companies in aviation to defend their current solutions based just on shared documents or even paper archiving.
Mr. Slavik also used the conference as an opportunity for many official as well as unofficial meetings with professors and lectors from University of Žilina (his “Alma Mater”) as well as other representatives of authorities or business entities involved in civil aviation especially in Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Inter Airport Europe is the world’s leading airport exhibition, organized since 2013 each odd year in Munich, Germany. This year’s trade fair took place between 6th and 9th of October.
The event was attended by Kamil Slavík, CEO of Hypera, and Jiří Žežula, responsible for aviation projects and solutions. Their participation consisted of two relatively independent parts: familiarization with new products or system functionalities provided by Scandinavian partners represented by Hypera in Czech & Slovak republic and/or surrounding countries, and getting knowledge of the latest trends and products in the field of airport infrastructure, equipment and technologies, including networking with new potential commercial partners.
Concerning the first above mentioned part, Hypera was hosted on the exhibition stand of the Opscom Systems, Scanavia, Integra and their other two partners (Insero and BBHS Intelligent Bulk Baggage Handling System). The most important item here is the introduction of the full support of Android-based devices in the whole product line of the Opscom system and the information of the full compliance of the Opscom system reporting tools with the EC Regulation 376/2014 (Reporting Occurrences), coming into force on 15th of November, 2015.
As a part of the second target of the participation at the exhibition, both delegates visited many exhibition stands, took part in several meetings and established lot of contacts with potential partners interested in cooperation with Hypera in its existing portfolio of services and activities as well as new areas tied with airport development etc., with prospects of the future benefit for both sides.
Heliport Rozvadov was built according to the Czech regulation No. L14H and certified by Czech CAA as the international VFR NIGHT HELIPORT for private and HEMS operations.
The project consisted of project management, feasibility study, architect and engineering documentation, permits of local authorities and CAA and tendering of certified hardware. Construction started in August of this year and in September, approach landing lights set (APP), FATO and TLOF perimeter lights, flash beacon for visual guidance at long distance and wind indicator were installed. Controls of heliport are placed in technology container, which provides air-conditioned space for necessary installations incl. manual and radio switching system as well as UPS backup.
On 03 Oct 2014 Calibra, the flying laboratory of the Czech Air Navigation Services (ANS), performed flight checks of APAPI lights, which was necessary for CAA certification.
Heliport Rozvadov can serve various helicopters types from Bell 407 or 429 up to PZL W-3 Sokol, or up to maximum weight of 6400 Kg. Hypera has also provided the Operation manual, which was distributed to helicopter operators incl. Integrated rescue system (IZS), police and Czech army.
The main partners participating in this project were Techniserv a.s. and Transcon Electronic Systems s.r.o.
Škoda Auto, as a winner of Czech Logistics Award, organised by Czech logistics Association was nominated and qualified to “European Logistics Champion League Final“, where six European finalist presented their projects.
Škoda project “Simply Clever logistics support for build-to-order production in the automotive” won the ´European Gold Medal in Logistics and Supply Chain´ on the night of 18. 9. 2014.
